Oh, Guilin!!!

Oh and I almost forgot to update about our trip to Guilin in Oct'09. Louise and I were the only girls and we were kind of shy towards the boys, and the boys were so humble and polite to us back then. Coz.. I only knew Kenneth for 2 weeks and Ryan and Jimond for less than a week? HAHA. We were soooo polite that Louise and I don't even dare to ask who are we sharing the bed with for each different night. (We decided to stay in a 3 person room to save costs) Then Ryan and Jimond would automatically flip over to the other side of the bed and share the bed with us.

Look at how much they enjoyed the 13 hours train ride..

We spent the Mooncake Festival there. The whole sky was filled with wishing lamps! Really damn alot~ Ryan took a video of it but he deleted it by accident. I told you, we were still not so close back then so I was too humble to blame him. And my angmohs got to try our Mooncake while I share with them the origin of the Festival! They didn't like the mooncakes thou, but they still finished them up and only told us about it after the Festival coz they wanted Louise and I to enjoy our Festival ^^ Told you right, we were very polite and respectful towards each other!
They call me the Ice Cream Muncher during the trip, coz I had at least 1 Ice Cream per day, in the morning, for Breakfast. =(^o^)=
We went to the Rice Terrace too, it was a dusty trip. And the clever me, insisted on wearing FlipFlops thus ended up having dusty feet. Jimond almost flipped out when my feet accidentally touched his pillow when we got back to the hotel room, even though I cleaned my feet. He behaves exactly like my mum! Virgos! zzz

And we had to climb steps after steps, it was a long long journey........................... But I was very attracted to this place coz there were tranquility and peace ^^ We can actually choose to let them carry us up the steps in this stretcher-alike thing. They charge according to how much you weigh. HOW SAD! :'(
For the first time in my life, I got to taste 传说中的 Bamboo Rice! :P mmm...

Happy 60th Birthday, China!

Guilin trip is so amazing. Coz it was my first time travelling with people whom I've just accquainted with. The short 8 days trip made us see through everyone thoroughly. And because of that, Ryan and Jimond found out how Tomboy Liwen is, and how she freaks out whenever they touch my sensitive spots. (It's not what you think)

Oh yeah, the daily"get-to-know-one-another" question session does break the ice between us.
Ryan and Jimond would ask us questions and they (Ryan, especially) would volunteer to share with us about their experience.

Hahaha, oh my oh my. Sometimes, I really miss the times where the 2 faggots were being nice and polite towards me. BAH! But I love them no matter what. ^^

我在学书法！

Last semester, I had to take up Chinese Painting as one of my compulsory modules.
This semester, I have to take up Chinese Calligraphy.

Oh, how I LOVE cultural classes. But I'm glad that there's this Ukraine guy taking the Calligraphy class with me, I'm not going to be the only 老外.

I am so afraid of my Chinese Calligraphy teacher! He walks around the class with his brush while we were practicing our Calligraphy. He smacks our knuckles with the tip of his brush if we didn't hold our brush upright. He uses the tip of his brush to poke on our spine if we didn't sit up straight. He roars at students who didn't bring their materials to class. :(

And so, yours sincerely got punished yesterday for not using the correct stroke orders. Calligraphy's stroke orders are different from what we learnt for those normal writings. :(

I have to write 海、恩、天、心 on 20 pieces of papers for each word. And each paper has 12 grids. Do the maths, people. AHHHH!!! :'(

下课后和朋友们到群光肯德基吃午餐

大家享用完午餐后原本想多待一会儿继续闲聊 但是发现坐在我们斜对面带着小孩的家庭竟然让小孩在肯德基快餐店里的地上撒尿！

服务员看见后，在妈妈耳边说了一些话便走了。
我们真的不知道服务员到底对妈妈说了些什么
但照理说，服务员应该是说：不好意思，请您讲究一下卫生。卫生间就在您的右手边，请别让小孩在这里撒尿，以免影响其他客人的食欲。

但是。。。那小孩还是在餐厅里撒尿了。。
实在他妈的无法让人忍受。但更让人气愤的是，当我们受不了便发出呕吐的声音时，其他的客人竟然把我们当怪物来看。

PLEASE LAR，谁会在KFC里面小便！Somemore toilet 就在 less than 2meters away，你眼睛瞎了meh! No matter what, 你不应该让小孩在 restaurant 里面尿尿right!? 就算没有 toilet 也 at least 让他尿在你的水瓶里 right, dumbass。

And 那些看到的人，你们在家里是在 toilet 里面吃饭的 meh! 为什么你们看见别人做出这么不道德的举动时竟然 diam diam 不出声！Damn it.

As I was half-watching HaiPaiTianXin on my laptop and half-stoning away in Beilou, Hugo came knocking on my door with his cute Hello Kitty Umbrella. Ten minutes later, it was Louise and Mia at my door with their socks soaked with rainwater. The three of them came alllllllll the way to Beilou to have dinner with me despite the heavy rain. Howwwwww sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet can they beeeeeeeeeeeeee? :)

They made my night a very happy one, because if not for them, I guess I'd emo my night away thinking:

Really thank them for accompanying me the wholeeeee night. We called it a night at almost 1.30am! @_@

YAY!!! The school didn't arrange my accommodation and told me to "你今晚睡在外面吧".

All my friends with apartment are out for holidays and are not back yet. Those who are here were not around, coz the clever me didn't inform anyone about what time I'll be back.
I was on the verge of breaking down. and... I wanted to pee so badly! Luckily the beauty palour that I frequent is right beside the guys' crib so I left my luggages under the apartment and went to the parlour. I know I know, it's unsafe to keep your stuffs unattended but I was really desperate. I walked back to the apartment, the guard smiled at me and that gave me an idea. Yes, to leave everything with the guard. So I told him: Tell him to bring my stuffs up when he's back.

I left with my valuables and found out that Hugo is in Wuhan! So he invited me to "hit the pub with just James, Grant and George. Just chillin' ". But it turned out to be...

Oh, and it was DIRT CHEAP! Grant knows the owner of the bar and each of us just paid 30RMB with free flow drinks! We had 8 bottles of chivas for just f'ing 30 RMB!!! *SCREAM*
I'll love Grammy's to death if the owner give us this offer too. HAHAH.

And so, poor Hugo took drunkass Liwen home. Grant came home after sending the girls back, saw me lying on their couch, took me to sleep in the room and flipped the couch upsidedown so that I can't sleep on it. And he played Harry Potter and "watched" it with me until I fell alseep. Awww, how sweet! Rare side of him. :)

Wah lau.. I can't fall asleep leh, anxiety disorder always strike me whenever i'm going to travel.

Suddenly feel so weird. It's like, alot of uncertainties. But I guess things will turn out much better than what I've expected, as always.. right?

Because she realized that she should give her poor angmohs, whom she had been terrorizing for months, a short break. So she decided to travel back home and haunt the people who've been constantly nagging at her to "come home lar".

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I CAN'T SLEEP!!! WE'RE LEAVING FOR HARBIN IN FEW HOURS TIME~ Flight is at 11am, guess we've to leave by 7.30am or so. WHOOO~~~

Anyway, finally got out of Beilou after so many #@!$@$@#! months and so much torture! :D
I have more than 100kg of stuffs to move, and I lived on the 5th floor, with NO elevator! So Ryan and Jimond had to come to Beilou, carry my shits from 5th to 1st floor, load everything onto the cab, unload my shits, and carry my shits up to their apartment. They live on the 7th floor and there is no elevator too! Awww, love love! :D

They saw my fugly boots for Harbin and went: GOT DAMN, that's the ugliest pair of shoes I've ever seen in my whole life, Liwen!

Had my last paper this morning! WHOOO~ It's so much difficult that what I've expected. zzz Whatever it is, EXAMS ARE OVER. HELLO HOLIDAYS, HELLO HARBIN~~~


Ryan was nagging at me last night: Liwen, you know you that you need a better coat, right? It's -30'c, do you know how it feels like?
Liwen: Yes I know. (Wasn't paying attention to what he said)
Ryan: Nonono you don't. (Dragged me into his room and took out his jackets)
Ryan: -30'c means, this jacket plus this coat (both are very thick) are still not even enough! (stare at my pretty black coat)

(coz they went speechless when I showed them my new black coat the other time. I told them it was for Harbin. Because I was damn broke that time and I had to tell them that it's for Harbin, else Jimond would whoop my ass and Ryan would bodyslam me. :( )


And earlier today, Jimond warned me about the weather again.
All the boots that can keep us warm are DAMN UGLY. SUPER FUGLY!

Few days ago when I went shopping with him, I got this pair of UGG snow boots (which I thought would be able to keep my feet warm in Harbin). Jimond was busy trying on his shoes and I couldn't make up my mind what coloud I should get.
Jimond: That's what you're wearing for Harbin?
Liwen: *nods my head proudly* But I can't decide what colour to get!
Jimond: You're going to freeze, what if the rain or snow gets into it? Jackfrost is going to bite your legs off!
I thought he was just trying to make me get one of those ugly boots that's why he tried to scare me with all these words. I went ahead to get this pair of UGG and I realized that it's not even warm enough to keep me comfortable in 5'c Wuhan~ *cries*
And so, Liwen (finally) resigned to fate and got herself a pair of (prettiest)Fugly boots. You'd better keep me warm, I tell you. I spent a bomb on you.

Step no. 1 to step out of my comfort zone: Give up vanity and be practical.
I'm not as vain as it sounds, you all know right? But I grew up in Singapore! This is call "Dress Sense/Fashion Sense".

EXAMS, GO AWAY!!!

Shopping with Jimond yesterday. Pizza Hut for dinner with Ryan, Jimond, Louise, Yeelin, Lionel and Grant last night followed by "Circle of Death" at the boys' apt.

Jimond: LIWEN, stop competing. You are drinking liquor and they are drinking beer. I suggest you to switch to beer from now on.

Adventurous Capricorns

(Confession: I wasn't watching TV at all. I was trying to work on my revision. But I knew that he was going to take me out so I lied to him. :P )

While I was eating my exam notes silly at Beilou, Ryan figured that I should take a break. He took me on a 20minutes motuoche ride and we arrived at somewhere near the Yellow Crane Tower. We were at some kind of park, and I tell you, it was reallyyyyyyyyy pretty!!!

We had to walk down slope with bushes all around us. The noises that came out from the bushes didn't really scare me, but Ryan's: "stay close, liwen" freaked me out a little and I kept imagining that someone would jump out from the bushes and take me away.. -_-"

Anyway, after walking for like 10minutes (While I tripped like at least 3 times), I realized that we were by the shore of the river!!!


The scenery was sooooooooo pretty! I hate myself for being unable to capture the images well on my camera :(
We could see the Yellow Crane Tower right opposite us, really PRETTY!!! ^^

YAYness~ thanks, Ryan for the adventure. It was great except that he told me he broke almost 20 traffic rules (motuoches are not allowed in that area, esp), and my face was so frozen that I can't feel my face at all from the motuoche ride, and for the first time in my 21 years I felt so (ugly)bimbotic by bashing in in my boots which resulted in me tripping all over the place. zzz LIWEN LEH, how can Liwen, from NPCC, have this kind of thing happen to her?! BOOHOOHOO`

What a blunder!

Last night was clubbing with Jimond, Ryan and Mia. We planned to go to Grammy's and I was soooooooo looking forward to it! Mia and I even hailed a cab even before the guys came down from their apartment! :P

Once we reached Grammy's, the guard told us:" 今天没开！" and my heart sank 10000000million feet under the ground :(

Ryan suggested us to chill at a Chinese bar next to Queens. End up there was this performance by a gay boy dancing and that freaked us out. So we hopped to Top One, where two gays were hitting on Jimond and Ryan @_@

The guys refused to go to Queens coz it's a gay club. After much persuation, they finally agreed to switch to Queens and surprisingly, it turned out that they did not get harassed by the gays at all.

And gosh! I MISS HITTING THE CLUB WITH MIA!!! :') We had so much fun drinking and dancing, we used to do it so frequently.

Ryan, Liwen is not drunk as a pirate. BAH!

I made it for today's exam even though I felt like a piece of toufu. When I finally dragged my feet to Beilou after the paper, I saw my room mate and friends checking out at the front desk.

Spent about 2 hours at the lobby coz I wanted to spend more time with them.
They were my only companion at Beilou and now that all of them have gone home, I feel even empty. :( And, who's going to be with me when Magic comes banging on my door again?! :((

And when I went up to 6510 after sending them off, the room seemed soooo empty! It used to be full of QiuHuai's stuffs. The only thing I can see on her bed right now is a box of my favourite cream puffs and a goodbye letter from her. *wipes my tears*

But I'm still gonna whoop her ass when she comes back next semester, coz she made our room so messy and I've to do the clean up! BAH!!!

By the way, I had my second attempt to ride the bike yesterday and I think I did a pretty good job! I didn't fall and I was steady enough to keep on going! Whooo~ So proud of myself~ :)

Hello Singapore! School just started for less than a week and I have to confess that I skipped most of the lessons for last week. Partially due to unable to get my timetable and also I needed some time to switch back to study mode. Like last Friday, I woke up and went for the 10am lesson, I reached there at 9.45am and I left the classroom even before the teacher began his lesson. I felt really out of place when I'm in the same class as the locals. And while I was on my way to escape from last Friday's lesson, I was imagining ChengYao running after me and say: "No! You're not going anywhere, get back to the classroom NOW!" Hahaha.

But anyway, I've been attending lessons for this week and I'm getting used to it. I think the classmates are very kind. One of them even gave me the map of HuaShi to prevent me from getting lost in the campus. How sweet is that? haha.

And my room mate cooked lunch for me the other time when I had hangover. So I must say that I'm doing very well here. Well, at least PRETTY well. :) I'm planning of giving the America and England friends to try Durian!!! Hohoho.

Did I mention that I finally had the courage to step into the pingpong area? It was easier than I thought. And today, I stepped into the stadium, it felt so comfortable to feel the breeze kissing my cheeks. I never thought I could go back to these two places, I'm glad I did. :)

House warming at the guys' place on Friday was good. All we did was drink, talk cock, play games, play music.
My first 3/4 of Saturday was a wasted one. I was like a stone. We went to catch abit of the opening ceremony coz' James was performing. Steamboat at Nanmen after that. It was until after the steamboat session then I finally woke up.

Me: I miss Queens!
Mia: Me too!
Me: You want to go after dinner?
Mia: I'll go with you if you're going
Me: Ok, let me look for some clothes in your room

The guys came back when Mia and I were about to leave the hostel and they decided to join us too. HURRAY!

Today is a stay in day for us to recuperate. And it's school tomorrow again.

Anyway, school starts officially for me today. I skipped lessons since Monday coz' no one told me where I should go and how do I get my timetable. All they said to me was: oh, I'm not in charge of this, you can try asking xxx "

Weather's very cool now, but it gets rather cold at night. I'm already starting to wonder how can I survive the Winter here, coz I heard from many that this year is going to be much much colder than what we've been through last year.

Anyway, I'm thankful that I got to meet so many nice people over here. They are fun to hang around with. They care alot alot for me. And you know I always refuse to seek help from others and stuffs, but they still lend me their helping hands and be there for me all the time. Am very touched and grateful for that. :)
