It's the tomb cleaning season.
Went for tomb cleaning for my grandfather(father side).
Had to wait for quite awhile for everyone to reach.
Uncles asked me about my attachment and stuffs, and they said SPH is a great place, and they stopped there.
After that, they asked me about the China trip, and told me not to be shy to get stuffs from them. They taught me some "survival skills" when I'm over at China.
And also, they told me to claim the air points from them instead of trying to earn my own airfare.
After the tomb cleaning session, we split the food to bring home and headed home seperately.
They are all busy people, even on Sundays.
Fourth uncle drove us home in his rover, it's kinda cool.
We had breakfast at coffee shop. This kind of breakfast, we can have it on any other days.
Mum: why aren't you getting married?
Uncle: I show you my girlfriend photo. Only let you see ar.
Mum: oh, she's so pretty! Why never bring home let mother see?
Uncle: I think she would faint if I were to bring my girlfriend home.
Went over to Malaysia for tomb cleaning session for grandpa(mother side).
Everyone reached at almost the same timing. (good communication skill)
Took my cousin's car. I only love to take his car, as he's driving is thrilling yet safe.
All my relatives mentioned about the "My Paper", and that was when I realized that even people at Malaysia also reads it. ARGH.
Like what my uncles did earlier, they all asked me about my attachment, they praised the company.
But they asked me: But is this what you really want to do in future?
I'm glad they asked.
And the uncles from my mother side supported me when I told them I want to earn my own airfare. They really know me so well.
After the tomb cleaning session, more than 20 of us crowd together at a corner and ate the food we brought over to worship grandpa. That sense of coziness and family bonding is what a family should really have.
My relatives all took leave for today, and we had some time to do some catching up.
When I asked my cousin to pass me an egg, he gave me an egg plus a drumstick.
When I asked just threw a casual remark: "It's so hot here!", she passed me a bottle of sugarcane juice.
Although custom jammed like shit and I almost rot in the car, I really don't mind as long as I get to see my relatives.
Notice the difference?
Perhaps is it the society in Singapore which brings my uncles to only realize my materialistic needs.
But that's not really useful, at least for me. =)
